Left-over

Left-over is a work focused on the notion of ecology, a collective reality that invites me to the spontaneity of the gesture. These volumes are sometimes extruded, sometimes stamped against a chosen surface, sometimes shaped from the waste of other sculptures. The resulting forms open my approach to artistic plurality; a duality between the raw, the spontaneous, the refined and the neat. The place of the machine is dominant here, the relationship of the gesture in relation to the tool becomes the subject. It’s fun that takes the place of work. One shape turns into another shape. First, there is the pleasure of the abundance of prints, then the immediate satisfaction of bringing out all these new surfaces, these new pretexts for color. These sculptures are like independent elements, which will sometimes become the starting points for other series in their own right. The spatialization of these forms is a necessity, as a continuity of the gesture given after the extrusion.
